Door frames get knocked by bags, scraped by shoes and touched constantly as people move around. Over time, paint chips, edges yellow, and small cracks appear. Even if your walls still look okay, tired frames can make the whole hallway feel worn out.
Repainting just the frames – in a clean white, soft neutral, or even a contrasting colour – sharpens everything up. The lines around doors become crisp again, and the space feels brighter. It’s much less work than repainting all walls, but it gives a surprising visual lift.
If you coordinate the frame colour with skirting boards and doors, the hallway suddenly looks more “finished” and well-kept, even without big changes elsewhere.
