A comfortable chair is only half a relaxation spot. If there’s nowhere to set down a cup of tea, a book, glasses or your phone, you end up balancing things on the armrest or getting up repeatedly to reach a distant surface.
A small side table – even a tiny round or C-shaped one – turns that chair into a complete little station. You sit, you put your drink down, you have somewhere for a lamp or a plant, and maybe a place to rest the TV remote.
That corner suddenly becomes the place you actually choose to sit in the evening, not just a nice-looking chair for guests. It’s amazing how often we avoid seats that don’t have a convenient surface nearby.
One extra table, and you’ve created a real, usable nook instead of just a decorative corner.
